Everything Is Figureoutable

A year ago, if someone had told me I would be using AI almost every day – to write, get travel info, build workshops, build a fitness routine. create graphics, make music, stay updated on new myeloma treatments, and even build my website – I would have laughed.

Honestly, I found it intimidating. New language. New technology. New ways of thinking. Part of me wondered: “Am I too late to this?” And perhaps even more honestly: “Can I actually learn this at this stage of my life?”

I’m reading Everything Is Figureoutable by Marie Forleo. And she puts forth an idea that is deceptively simple: Most things are not impossible. They are unfamiliar.

Because learning AI has not felt easy. And yet, little by little, question by question, prompt by prompt, I started figuring it out. Not because I suddenly became more technical. But because I stayed with the discomfort long enough to learn.

One of the biggest things I’m taking from this book is how much our beliefs shape our reality. The moment we decide: “I’m too old.” “I’m not techy.” “I could never do that.”, our brain listens.
And slowly, those beliefs become limitations we live inside of.

Another powerful reminder from the book is that fear is normal.
Most people wait for confidence before they begin. But confidence usually comes after action. So the key is to start something – not before it, fail, adjust. And eventually, what once felt impossible becomes familiar.

And perhaps the most important lesson of all. Excuses keep us stuck. At some point we have to stop saying: “I can’t.”, “Someone should fix this.” And start asking: “What CAN I do?” “What can I learn?” “What’s my next step?” Because clarity rarely comes from overthinking. It comes from engagement.
I am currently working on two projects: one family-related, and another a destiny project that scares me. And honestly? I don’t have all the answers. But I am determined to find a way through.

And I am doing this by beginning before I feel ready. By accepting that fear is normal. By staying with the discomfort long enough to learn. And by not quitting too soon.

So now I’m curious. What are you trying to figure out? A health challenge?, a difficult relationship?, a business idea?, financial pressure?, a dream you keep postponing? Because remember. Most things are not impossible, they are simply unfamiliar. What might be possible for you if you believed everything really is figureoutable?
