Insights Discovery, Advancing the Journey

Today I had the privilege of being invited back by an executive team to facilitate Part 2 of their Insights Discovery journey, one year after their initial session.

The intention was not simply to revisit the model – but to deepen self-awareness and strengthen how the team works together.

We explored the four conditions that help teams operate at their best: Focus, Flow, Climate, and Process.

At one point, participants physically stood in the area they believed represented the team’s greatest strength – and then where strengthening would make the biggest difference. That conversation alone sparked thoughtful ownership and honest reflection.

We then moved into individual profiles and introduced the concept of the 8 Type, adding another layer of insight into what drives each of us.

But the most powerful moment of the workshop came during a simple circle conversation.

Each person shared their goals, their fears, and what helps them do their best work – offering colleagues a clearer window into the human behind the role. You could feel the shift in the room.

Because when teams move beyond assumptions and begin to understand one another more deeply, collaboration stops being mechanical and starts becoming intentional.

A reminder that no matter how capable a team may be, their greatest potential is realized when clarity, trust, and understanding grow together.

Grateful to work alongside leaders who are willing to pause, reflect, and invest in how they show up – not just in what they deliver.

Unicorns, Watermelon Toothpaste & a Lesson in Belonging

Nagib and I took our granddaughter Amaal to the dentist today. And I’m not sure who enjoyed the experience more—her or us. The place was buzzing with children who actually seemed happy to be at the dentist. Think about that for a moment. Before Amaal even entered the examination room, she was invited to choose […]

But, being his parents, we naturally came up with the most flattering explanation possible. Perhaps he was deeply spiritual.Perhaps he was an old […]
